Hi all I am having trouble coding 2 new keys into a 2000 X Reg Ford Ranger(Mazda Immo System) that has all keys lost . I have obtained the key code and cut 2 new 8c Genuine Ford 8c keys bought from 3dgroupuk. Also purchased through 3dgroupuk was the 5 digit pin code(44490) needed to programme the keys in manualy this was calculated by the immobox lable serial. So this is the procedure I have been using to try and code them in.
On off on off 6 times immo light flashing for 5 mins.
After stop flashing fast wait 2 flashes ign off
Wait 2 flashes ign on
Wait 4 flashes ign off
Wait 2 flashes ign on
Wait 4 flashes ign off
Wait 2 flashes ign on
Wait 4 flashes ign off
Wait 2 flashes ign on
Wait 9 flashes ign off
Wait 2 flashes ign on
Wait 10 flashes(for 0) ign off
Then when I put the ign on the immo light is not soild and can not programme the keys! It just flashes randomly.
I have checked the buzzer is working and drivers door open but still no good!
Can anyone advise is this the correct procedure for a 2000 x Ranger?
If not I understand ETL or TMPRO can do this vehicle is anyone in the U.K. have this module willing to make a transponder if I send the Immo box?
Thanks

On 8C system, codeword is always 8 digits and it can't contain '0' - zero I think...

PROCEDURE FOR NO KEYS OR ONLY 1 PREPROGRAMMED KEY AND YOU NEED TO PROGRAM MORE KEYS
Notes: a. You must have at least 2 keys to perform this procedure. If there are no pre-programmed keys, you will have to provide 2 new keys. If there is only one pre-programmed key, you will have to provide at least one more.
1. Cut the mechanical cuts on each new transponder key.
2. Insert the first key and turn the ignition ON and then back to the OFF position 5 times. You must NOT leave the ig-nition in the ON position for more than 1 second.
3. Turn the key back to ON position and watch the flashing security light on the Dashboard. The light should flash rap-idly, 300 mS ON and 300mS OFF.
4. Within 20 seconds, turn the key to the LOCK position for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes the security light should de-crease in flashing to 1.2 seconds between flashes.
5. Within 20 seconds, enter the CODEWORD (Password).
6. When you have entered the code word, the security light should remain ON and not flash.
7. The car should now start. Start the car and the security light should stay lit for between 1 and 2 seconds.
8. Within 20 seconds, remove the first key and insert the second key and start the car. The security light should stay lit for between 1 to 2 seconds.
9. Stop if you have no more keys, and wait 30 seconds for the car to exit programming mode.
PROCEDURE FOR 2 OR MORE PREPROGRAMMED KEYS
1. Cut the mechanical cuts on each new transponder key.
2. Insert the first key and turn the ignition ON and then back to the OFF position 5 times. You must NOT leave the ig-nition in the ON position for more than 1 second.
3. Turn the first pre-programmed key back to the ON position, the security light should stay ON.
4. Turn the first key back to the LOCK position.
5. Insert the second pre-programmed key and start the car. The security light should stay lit for between 1 and 2 sec-onds. Turn back to the LOCK position and remove key.
6. Insert the first pre-programmed key and start the car. The security light should stay lit for between 1 and 2 sec-onds. Turn back to the LOCK position and remove key.
7. Insert the next pre-programmed key or a new key and start the car. The security light should stay lit for between 1 and 2 seconds. Turn back to the LOCK position and remove key. Repeat for any further additional keys, up to 8 maximum in total.
8. Stop if you have no more keys, and wait 30 seconds for the car to exit programming mode.
HOW TO ENTER THE CODEWORD (PASSWORD)
(For this procedure we will use : 23234223)
1. Before you start, the security light on the dash should be flashing on and off for 1.2 seconds each for ON and OFF.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ON position while the security light is not Illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 2 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
3. Within 30 seconds of turning the key to the LOCK position, turn the ignition key to the ON position while the securi-ty light is not illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 3 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
4 Within 30 seconds of turning the key to the LOCK position, turn the ignition key to the ON position while the securi-ty light is not illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 2 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
5 Within 30 seconds of turning the key to the LOCK position, turn the ignition key to the ON position while the securi-ty light is not illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 3 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
6. Within 30 seconds of turning the key to the LOCK position, turn the ignition key to the ON position while the securi-ty light is not illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 2 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
7. Within 30 seconds of turning the key to the LOCK position, turn the ignition key to the ON position while the securi-ty light is not illuminated. Count the illumination flashes 3 times while the light is not illuminated and turn the key to the lock position.
8. If you have entered the code correctly the security light will stop flashing and stay illuminated. If a mistake has been made, wait 45 seconds and try again.
Notes: a. The ignition key should not be turned ON twice within one non illumination cycle.
b. The ignition key should not be turned ON during an illumination cycle.
c. The ignition key should not be turned to LOCK twice within one illumination cycle.
This one works mostly for me.
