Its 11/2004
Milage traceable is no deal because I changed the dash and only want to correct it to the milage.
So try over OBD or do I have to correct LCM also?

For the chip 35080 use programmer like R260 or R270+, for LCM you can use bmw scanner it's easy 1min

Im not sure which chip it has.
Do i have to program both, dash and lcm? Behause lcm has the right milage. Only dash is a new one.
I habe this cable for my digiprog

If you change dash a red dot Will be Deen on the display (due to different vin in dash) for milleage you can remove eep and change with digi.
But for change vin you need programmer like upa/xprog/R270 etc.

Or you can read, save, upload here and tell VIN and mileage. Someone can change for you. ANd after write in you new chip with digi .

The vin can be changed using a Digiprog. Arthur.

But to change vin via digiprog i need to desolder the Chip, right?

My e46 from 2004 doesnt have a port left from the engine. Thats weird. I only have an obd port inside the car.
Digiprog wants to have ST06. Thats the round cable.
do i have to choose e90 insted? Because of the odb Port.

You can't do it via OBD you need to modify chip in dash (kilometer and VIN)

Chip in dash or lcm? Or both?
nebojsapejcic
7th February, 2017, 08:23 PM
Only year 2000 goes via obd and have round connector under the hood. 2001 and up you need to take out dash and do 35080.

Only dash or LCM to?

7th February, 2017, 10:29 PM
If you have new dasch and old lcm and ews then you need modify only dasch. You need open dasch and read eprom. I think pasoft 1,4 can modify vin in dach by obd but km must modify directly in chip.

I only have Digiprog 3.
also have a used LCM inside, because old one was broken
sparkz02
8th February, 2017, 12:50 AM
Well to start off with do, dash 35080 chip, DP3 will handle that chip fine, LCM you can do using obd after

In this case for you is better to use x-prog. 3 in 1. Manual-pinout, km, vin.
10min. and done.

Im failing to find a hexa calculator where i can manually fill in the code

You need an ascii to hex calculator. As a clue 31 hex = 1 ascii, 32 hex = 2 ascii etc. Arthur.

Ive only done E46's using Digimaster, just removing cluster and LCM, clearing/resetting LCM, then read/adjust mileage 35080 erase and then finally write. Works flawlessly, I mostly use Digiprog for OBD odometers in VAG cars.

lcm you can adjust with passoft 1,4 by obd.

But back to topic!
Digiprog manual says using ST51 for 2004 BMW LCM.
It has 1x brown, 1x white, 1x green, 1x yellow.
My delivered ST51 only has brown, white and 2 ihrer colors.
Any suggestions?

LOL? I thanked Cluster instantly via button. Better check it before you say something like that.
Everything before was just discussing without any solution. Not to forget that most of the comments to ascii were wrong.
But hey, no problem mate.
Have a nice day.

I will try it saturday. Hope the wiring is right. I wasnt sure if cluster mean the front or the back side where the soldering is.
Because pin 13 on the upper right backside is not pin 13 on the upper right frontside but its bottom right.

Another question:
What is the difference between LCM with ST51 (HCS12), ST51 (HC12) and LCM with ST35 (HC11)

Yes, because except of clusters post, nothing else answers any questions. People are here to learn and discuss but some of you take it as an opportunity to hate.
