Have a 2014 Accord to work on today whats involved? I read mixed storys saying remove eeprom, dont remove eeprom needles will break, dont read in circuit because it will corrupt dump.

I have smelecom USA prog, can I use rear solder points and 3V? I read something about board disharge, to many variables now I'm confsed someone please help.

Heres the pinout I have also if I go the remove eepom route how do I correctly remove needles? How to reinstall needles? Thanx in advance!

It doesn't work for us. We have ruined five clusters in the last few weeks attempting. The dumps are bad using DSP+. Other guys on here have had success though.

Ruined completely? Or just had to re write original dump? What seems to be the issue? Are you doing low voltage 3V? Which pin out are you using or are you trying to solder to eeprom?

Pinout from the rear. Pinout is good - verified with meter but when we read it - gives a bad dump and then kills the screen. Because we can't get a good read we can't write a good dump back on. They are just dead sitting on the shelf.. lol. I have asked smelecom about it and they said that it works. I don't know. Have tried multiple eeprom adapters, two different dsp+ programmers that we have. Not sure.. probably something we are doing but I have no answer.

What unit equipment are you using and what voltage?

DSPIII+. Tried both of our units and two different eeprom adapters because smelecom insists that it should work so I was just making sure it wasn't some bad hardware. Tried the whole range of voltage as well.. tried 3.1 up to 4.6. It seems like it works but the data doesn't look good. When you attempt to read mileage using the Accord 93C76 option on the programmer it either shows 0 miles or some crazy 1444599 value. Problem is that once you read it it is DONE. Display goes crazy and there is no way to put a good dump on it.

what did you do after new dash? Plug and play?

Did you just hook 1,2,3,4,5 & 8 or did you cut lead?

Well did it today pinout worked for me, calculation is a little off could be better but it works just gotta mess with it.

I cleaned contacts with alcohol 90%, then fluxed em, added solder to points, re tinned my wires, attached wires making sure no wires touching and no bridged solder points since points 1,4 & 3 are close to eachother, also make sure other points aint bridged next to other points 2,5 & 8. I verified with magnifier, use a very fine solder tip conical other tips seem like they would be to large, read & write 3.3V. I think the issue people are having is either voltage or wrong solder tip size or wires touching each other, bridged points. Seems like it can happen easily if not prepped right and verified using magifying.
