Hi guys, good evening 2 you all
got a brain teaser, i dont knw wer 2 begin but here goes...
Got an Astra H 1.7 cdti here.
codes i got, (evrytime i clear them they appear in different order, like one will appear and after clearing may not comeback until the 3rd time i clear the DTC's ??? if dat makes any sense 2 u)
C3800-0 ?
B3537-89 ?
P0000-15 ?
P0070-71 Ambient Air Temp Sensor Malfunction
P0500-74 Vehicle Speed Signal Range/Performance
P0190-11 Rail Pressure Sensor High Voltage
U2105-00 Can-Bus No communication with ECM
C0800-03 System Voltage Low
P1811-72 ?
Also there was one on there something to do with crankshaft sensor.
Problem is car doesnt start, only if i spray with easy start but soon as i stop spraying engine cuts out. Diesel does get from tank to pump but the injectors dont open, also i think clutch has gone on car
ps.the instrument cluster works except for the mileage reading, some1 has snapped ribbon cable in the cluster???
I would be very grateful if anyone here could help
Thankyou :)

has the car been in a bump ? the high pressure pumps can pack up
have u checked the fuel pump relay

car has been in bump, but rear quarter has been hit, fuel relay clicks when plugged in so that seems fine
you can feel the pump "whirring" fuel does reach the rail put stops there.

i second that, and sounds like worth getting a scaffold bar out again
open the 'under hood electric center' and look at the external torx(r)
bolts, tighten them up with a scaffold bar and/or your strongest nut gun.
had one the other week and it was the 'under hood electric center'
in a darky smelly workshop with rats running around, it looks fine, but when it was outside, 'it was a bright bright sun-shiny day', it was a question of ' i can see clearly now the dark has gone' you could
see some green shit on the circuit board.
secondaly check the output from the dynamo at diffarnt rpms, start with
hold it on rev limiter for a week and test voltatudes across battery
'cim module', there good, soo good, you can get a faulty one outta the box

1) the fuse box under the bonnet, yank like **** on the top cover
(throw over shoulder) look for about 5 external torx(r) bolts
check they are tight
2) sorry did not understand it's a non starter
3) dyanmo is a nicer word than alternator
4) altough it is not on the jobcard, what radio does it have?
does it have any aftermarket gear?
try scanning with the radio on
if not factory radio, yank it out
5) next to the battery, get 50 people to look with you
use a telsescope, there is an earth bolt
check it's not missing, we had one where a rat broke into the
car, chewed the sterring wheel, then went under the bonnet
and STOLE the M6 nut off the wiring loom,

hi z786
i had an astra 52 plate with simular problems, it turned out to be the fuel ecu on the back of the engine at the bottom,
open the ecu up and it had dry solder joints in it , repair them and the car started.
i had 1 where it would`nt work after doing that and had to replace it instead,
hope this help
let me know how you get on!!

this car is seriously abused (ex-cop car)
quite possble that when 'the sweeny' had it it had a data logger on it
so data, engine speed, brakes on, handbrake speed etc.
really can't be arsed to trawl down the other posts, but if it is an autospastic the spastimatic can-bus wiring is 'quieter' than the rest of the car
be incluned to yank like ~~~~ on the back seat and probe the fuel pump there, used to be red/blue on vauxhall, but through my crsytal ball, (which needs re-calabrating) think green/yellow. but not sure if that's a f**d color!

i'l check crank sensor in the mornin, how do i check the high pressure fuel pump ??
carefully!
just for testing purposes, look for a multiplug near the battery/fuel housing
area, had a zafira that some dumb fu*k had just slighty unplugged.
the worset that can happen is the high pressure can cut your fingers/hands off.
bit like HID inverters can blow your fingers off, ask the relevent member of the AA (Alcoholics Anomous)

Now you have said that
just for reference
1) vivaro, non start, short story was, new oil+filter 10 mins later
dies no start, the oil was never changer for 100's of years
and the lumpy stick "cam shaft" has 'lost' the lump for
the lumpy stick sensor "cam sensor"
2) doubt it, but worth a goose.
pug 406, simular shit diffarnt day, 3pin arrogent jaune (yello)
plug goes manky, laughing at you 4inches away from the back of
alternator cut and butt it.

Hi
Astra ECU are located behind L/H Wheel Arch Liner and the multi Plug do get dirth and some times even water do get in there and cause all sorts of non start problems.
Worth removing the ECU and cleaning the multi plug.
Hope This Helps
Good Luck
