Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with the 9780.z5 interface. When connected to a laptop, the green light turns on then off by itself after 2 seconds. If I try to run Lexia or Peugeot Planet, i get a blue screen, bad_header. It used to be fine(green light stays on) but all of a sudden it went wrong. Can anyone help, its a genuine interface made in france.

Thx

Thierry

OK, Do you have any website that I can buy from with international shipping. Also is it difficult to replace?

Hi,
We produce PPS interface in IRAN.

Please first plug in the interface and then check your device
manager for below USB Devices:
http://www.pcnet.ir/images/actiahlh.jpg

in this case you will know that the USBN9604 is right.
if it is , then check your interface by below Application.
this application is in folder C:\APPLIC\LCTLEX3 and the
name is "MajAppCom.exe"
1- Run it:
2- Press "Init GESTCOMM" and then Version
then Reference
http://www.pcnet.ir/images/downlousu.jpg
3- Now press "Selection du fichier" for file select and
then select file "Appli.com" and open it.
http://www.pcnet.ir/images/fileselect.jpg

4- Press "Telechargement" to download file to interface
The interface may gives one of these :

a- "OK" for correct your problem.
b- "KO" for error downloading ,if you get this then exit
program and run it again and try to correct it . if you
cannot correct by this way , then it needs repair.

CNC_IR - I've tried but I get the blue screen error again when I click on Init Gestcomm, and the laptop reboots by itself. Don't even have time to read the error screen, but surely its a USB error. Any other tips.

Tried to update long time ago. Didnt work either. The USB driver in LExia has security fuse bits on. So replacing is impossible.
Like i said ,buy new one they are cheap now.

What do you mean by security fuse bits, what if I get an expert with correct tools to replace the usb IC, what could go wrong?

means you are assuming im no expert in this.
i wish you good luck removing security bits.

I do not mean anything, I just want to understand. I don't even know what are those security bits. When I say expert i mean a friend of miner cause I know that myself will never be able to that(security bits or not)

I have almost same problem as thierryo. Only in my case when I start Peugeot Planet, after a while I get "Unable to initialize vehicule communication manager" and it disconnects the interface. Next time I start the green light goes off. Then when I start PP it comes on again and I can repeat this cycle forever. I have this problem since during installation of an PP2000 update my PC got stuck and had to reboot.
Does anyone know how to reset the 9780.z5 interface (if possible)?
When doing CNC_IR's sequence I get b- "KO" for error downloading.
cammy25: can you tell where to buy the cheap new one, if it can't be repaired?
Thanks

I have exactly the same problem as described in the first post.

Interface used to be fine, I still use the software I received with it around 6 months ago, haven't made any kind of modifications on it and I never had a single problem!
I did an ECU firmware upgrade on a Xsara today, and it was still fine. Then I've sat in a Picasso trying to diagnose the faults in the BSI, and there were no communication with the interface.

When plugged into the USB green light goes on, and goes off after 2 seconds.

Lexia and PP2000 say:

""it is not possible to start peugeot planet for the following reasons;

Peugeot planet interface is not connected to the USB port of your PC,
Peugeot planet interface is being used by anotherapplication.
therefore, peugeot planet interface must be connected to the PC and the other applications must be closed"

reinstalled the USB drivers, and there's no conflict in the "control panel" - "device manager"

Have tried to check it with the PSA Interface Checker and when I hit "activate" it says: INIT KO.

Anyone can point in the direction what could I do to make it work again?
