problem bsi citroen c5 2001

hi i have a problem with a citroen c5 2001, I get error immobilizer, and I have to program the key to lexia is over three times, also the multifunction display will not turn off until it runs on so I do economi . change the bsi?

the immboliser on this vechile locks out for 2mins when you put the battery on,
secondaly yes do beleive that you get three goes to programme key then the system turns back into a pumpkin and 6 white mice.

No idea how to fix, unless you immo off the engine ecu, dude.

firstly google the three minute rule for peugeot/citroen
run through this then leave batt disconnected for a while an hour or so reconnect and go through the wake up protocol then try to program keys again

it hs worked for me once and savaed buying a bsi ?
worth a go its free to try ?

there is no software download bsi with lexia for this problem

no need to shout.

What racing snake means is you have to wait 3 mins before disconnecting the battery, stand on one leg whislte Dixe then disconnect battery, whilst simutainstly check the oriatation of the fag lighter.

If you are lucky not following this guide you can cause the silicon chip inside the bbsi to switch to overload.

You have lost me ducky matey poos, the bsi and engine ecu are a matching pair.

If you have locked up the bsi then disconnect the batterys for one hours or 60 mins which ever come first, then repeat the experiment, dude, surfs up.

AFAIK

The BSI can only be paired ONCE to an ECU (according to PSA) re-synching is sometimes required.
The BSI can be replaced with a virgin one and paired to the original ECU (sometimes!! tool has an option for factory help!)
Keys can all be cleared, relearned, replaced or added any way you want.
3 wrong security login attempts will lockup the BSI... permanently (according to PSA)
There are virgin dumps for the BSI about

good question... is it a valid key?
If the transponder fails or is missing from the key the learn new key process tries five times then reports a failed operation.

thats right... the key tranponder and remote fob can only be programmed once then you must replace ,you can just buy a new transponder type 46 crypto i think and put in the key.new fob can be bought from hickleys.

I'm not sure that these can only be programmed once though, because some of them can be cloned.

yes it is possible Meat Head but involves a virginising of the unit which is possible with the right programmer
but thats another thread
ive seen the wrong key chip programmed a couple of times
but it only starts once usualy
the info on the bsi keywise can be changed with lexia so another key can be programed the other info ie chasis no cannot as far as i know be erased by lexia
(but as alwatys i await correction)

Yes mate ... Its the same with most BSI/BCU's... Change the EEprom/mcu .. from gubbed one to New/ nearly new one ... Works most times ...Coz the bit the ECU is looking for ..is in it ....(usually the only proviso is that it is the Same)...

But I may be Talking sh1t off course....

AFAIK you cannot virginise the BSI with lexia/planet

if you leave the battery to flatten without the BSI shutting properly it loses its memory.... keys, VIN , number of doors etc. but I still don't think it forgets it has been paired

Hello, if it?s full can , can wires are going from bsi to abs and engine ecu, all this three are serial conected, abs malfunction or fuse broken makes that can bus doesn?t works, then no comunications between bsi and ecu, this cause eco mode and not get permissions to engine starts.
