This system works like this: The CD is just an update...but the software level is always higher (FFFF) so all models will be reflashed. It flashes only the Identification section in Flash nr1 of RNS-E (29XL12).
It changes the serial NR randomly and use the last 4 numbers of serial as your PIN code. so the code is ALWAYS visible at startup.


BTW I have also a solution through Vag COM for RNS-E

than burn slowly.

- If navigation is installed in the car - don't remove it. If navigation unit is removed - connect power supply +12V
- Switch navigation ON and on first screen push screen open and eject button. Remove original CD
- Now insert "unlock CD" and wait. Don't disconnect power supply, don't push any button. After ~30 sec. screen will close. In 2 min navigation will restart and in next 2 minutes update processe will start. After ~5 minutes RNS-E will restart again and now on screen serial number last 4 digits is yournavigation security code:

I have a RNS-E on my desk, which I don't have the code for. I am trying to find and try the CD, will try here... And get back to you with results.

I have now burned the image to a reqwriteable CD, loaded, didn't work. I suspect I would have to use a regular CD-R, but now I can't eject the CD in there :-(

I probably have to use VAGCOM to eject, however the device is not in the car, how to I connect VAGCOM ?

I got an navigation plus 8e0 035 192
brought it to an audi dealer and they said they couldn't unlock it because it wasn't communicating with thier data base. Unit worked fine in my brothers car but when i put it in mine it went into safe mode.

tried some codes now it says to wait 60 minutes but when it goes down to 30 it turns off. i turn it back on and it says another 60 mins. I don't want to spend $300 us dollars and find out i still can't use the unit.

does anyone have any thoughts on how to connect to the unit? is this cd really the only other way to get the code if the dealer can't?

Now it says in car, that the software version is X --, radio work, bluetooth telephone works, but not surprisingly it now wants a Navigation DVD. If I load my navigation DVD, it says Update CD 650 but the software update does not start....

Can anyone tell me what to do ?

I tried both on both CD and DVD image but after about 20 seconds the CD is taken out of the screen asks me to ship the code, you know help me?

This CD ist for the RNS-E System and not for the MMI low system, which is shown on your picture added.

I got an navigation plus 8e0 035 192
brought it to an audi dealer and they said they couldn't unlock it because it wasn't communicating with thier data base. Unit worked fine in my brothers car but when i put it in mine it went into safe mode.

tried some codes now it says to wait 60 minutes but when it goes down to 30 it turns off. i turn it back on and it says another 60 mins. I don't want to spend $300 us dollars and find out i still can't use the unit.

does anyone have any thoughts on how to connect to the unit? is this cd really the only other way to get the code if the dealer can't?

sit at the radio when it says, 31 minutes remaining, then when the displey switches off, push power button one time, then it goes further with the countdown, if you wait to long you have to sit another hour.

at the end of update the display show the code .....0125, but when insert that the radio rns-e do not accept.

I unlock a rnse unit with the unlock cd, but the unlock cd not end of flash the unit, I think that is a read problem when flash the unit.

the rnse display in chinese language INSERT DISC

i put CD mechanically After ~30 sec. screen will close. In 2 min navigation will restart and in next 2 minutes update processe will start. After ~5 minutes it well OFF i remove CD mechanically i put on, in screen i see serial number , my last 4 digits is : 0676 :pepsi:

i write CD with : 2X speed with clone CD

The problem is that the last 4digits from serial not work here :(
The unit is a 8E0 035 192 D (H 70, SW 0360)
Is there any other solution to solve this unit?

about rcd you start a chalange in 2010 but nobody told realy were is the code ex group 00A0 XXXX XOR 5555 ,other told is in 0x0220 xxxx XOR 7E9C
