hi
what you have to do
1-run dreamup , connect DM800 with cable
2- under dreamop select network and in the remote ip (box) put the ip you want for your box
3-now switch on the dreambox, dreamup will prepared the box for flash
when ready for flash
4 take the remote ip (box) then follow the procedure through the web now
192,168.xxxx.xxx
will get to the upgrade firmware page

This will force the box on bootloader mode

I hope this will help

TRY THE

Digital Kaos - Downloads - dreambox enforcer (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/other/8/dreambox-enforcer-990/)

read file in there
click connect, a status massage will be displayed saying the connections prepared now switch on the Dreambox.Do this by either switching back on the power at the plug socket or putting the power cord back into the power socket at the rear of your Dreambox.

DONOT put power to dm before you have prepared connect

about establishing a connection via the null modem cable
and then flashing it via the web portal......it worked perfectly!

got my nabilo image installed, and now just playing around with some settings... :)

Basically open up that software that Kevin has supplied in his second post (Dreambox enforcer). Once you do that you have to connect the DM800 to a pc with a null modem cable (RS232 cable) whilst the DM800 is off. Then click connect on the software and turn on the DM800 from the mains.

The null cable goes into the COM port of a pc, if you have a laptop you can use a null to usb cable.

Hi KEVIN,

I would be most grateful if you would kindly study the possibility of helping me in the correct parameters to utilize in order to
get some channels from Sat Eu W2M @ 10*EAST.

The C band channels are 3927 R 8300 5/6 8PSK,
I Can manage from SET UP to Service searching.
4 days struggling to get these channels,I come to the conclusion that my prescan parameters are not correct, they generate a SNR 0 , AGC 93 ( signal not locked)

Wish to have a few tips how to proceed from SET UP in order to do it correctly and receive these channels. Am utilising a SATLOOK for precise pointing of 10*E/ele.

Many thanks in anticipation for your assistance.
Best Wishes,
yours respectfully,

kadnor

DreamUp Mod recongnises the DM800S and shows that it flashes the box. When I enforce flashing an image afterwards, the progress bar is also indicating that it works fine. But after flashing I always have the same problem:
DM800S strats with "Dream Multimedia", the red lamp switches off after ca. 0.5 sec and thats it - nothing happens. Does anyone had the same problem and found a solution to it?

I am a newbie - tried dreamup 1.3.3.5 on my dm800 clone, shows msg "uploading flash-loader" for about a minute and the OLED says DreamMultimedia. When 100% complete DreamUP shows "upload completed, waiting for acknowledge..." and DM800 restarts but comes back with "No CA found". On Dreamup the Flash button never gets enabled.

pls help!

Problem found :

DreamUp , with certain dreamboxes, needs to have the IP fields filled, even if you don't use your network to flash.
So, I was using a "dummy" pc to flash, not connected, and I simply had to connect it to make DreamUp work normally, without "is not a valid integer value ...

most common problem is down to the wrong drivers if you are using the usb adaptor. Best way is to use a dedicated com port on an old pc/laptop

yes on a dm800se you use mini usb and the service port at the back of the box. With a sim2 clone you use sunray flashup software with the usb cable for recovery.

Oh! Finally found people chatting about bricked 800HD in English. My box is genuine and work well until it was flash with Nabilosat E2 Black Hole v0.12. My problem appears unique, in that the box worked fine but it would not allow me to connect to the box via the Webinterface. I found this out when I wanted to experiment with other images. And when it was not seen by Dreambox control center E2 {Error 1057 in function Send Socket is not connected} I could download add-ons via the box so it was on the net. Network setup showed that the box saw the router on the network and all parameters were ok. But it acted as if behind a firewall. Then I tried the serial port method, no response. [null modem cable/dreamup 1339] Eliminated cable or dreamup by getting the same setup to work with a DM500c box and Viewsat 2000 box so cables connections are correct.
The shit hit the fan when I connected a hard_drive. It bootup until it got to load enigma2 then just continue to do so with different colours on each reboot.
Never ask if something could get worse, it usually does. Any ideas?
