PIN is in ECU and in comfort module (behind glove box) which comprise immobilizer.
Read out dump of eeprom and post here.
To adapt key you need also security bytes, so better read dump of comfort module, because it contain all 7 bytes.
Which tool will you use to learn key?

VCDS will not adapt key to immo4 vehicle.
I use VAG K+CAN (AVDI) commander with function "Key learning".
Pls read additionally eeprom of ECU.

Login - 31487
Component security bytes - 69 B1 81 A2 06 8E 06
You can adapt key with commander, but not with VCDS i think.

Just got the message from Abritus72 that CS bytes are incorrect. They suggest to read them through OBDII. So ignore them.

The same situation with PIN extracted from dump using dump tool. It's also encrypted. Real PIN 03138. Pls check if ECU accepted one.

To adapt key to vehicle you need to prepare dealer key. It means that you have to put 7 security bytes into Megamos 48 transponder prepared as TP23 (according JMA classification for VW). Then, knowing login, correct key learning procedure should be applied. It's impossible to make such key using VCDS. I use AVDI, Tango programmer and chips TP22-25. If you don't have such transponder, you can order key for your car according your VIN. It will be delivered with cut blade and ready to be adapted (CS inside). But correct tool for learning stage will be required. For the safety reason, it will be better if, before adaption, you save eeprom dump of comfort module, because there are Passats which die while key learning due to defective modules.

www.Abritus72.com (http://www.abritus72.com/avdi.html)
You need AVDI with VAG key learning function and order officially key by VIN. If you make business with VAG vehicles you'll get all your money back.

I have all special functions for VAG excluding AN018 and AN019 (prepare/learning dealer key for A6/Q7) ones. I think it's better tool for VAG key programming.

I think you can use VCDS to match key. Procedure is on ross-tech web, on this link Immobilizer IV Key Matching - Ross-Tech Wiki (http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/Immobilizer_IV_Key_Matching)
I hope this to be helpfull.

Hi Chris.
No, my friend from Abrites72 sent me correct login when i asked to check what dump tool had found. This tool can correctly determine login/CS of MED9.5.10 only, because it unencrypted. All other MED9.1x are encrypted and can't be decrypted with dump tool. I don't know how he found it.
Enclosed is a picture of "ECU MED9x Reset crypted login/Component protection". This function is located in dump tool. You can see that it can change login/CS/MAC in ECU being read by OBD and decrypted.
FYI. A few days ago i asked them about VDO dashes after 06/2006 and they said that new update 7.7 is able to change mileage by OBD in some of ones and others will be covered a month later.
Sorry, forgot to attach file.

Super AD900 Key programmer (NEW) (China Manufacturer) - Auto Repair Tools - Car Accessories Products - DIYTrade China manufacturers (http://www.diytrade.com/china/4/products/6169500/Super_AD900_Key_programmer_NEW.html)
I can't find here info about TP23 (Megamos 48 with maker ID/CS) transponders.
If your supplier from China, don't easy trust them. I trade with them many years. They often call B5.5 like a B6.

That's Right Amine
All Chinese resellers are registered here in the forum, each day i'm blocking many of them because they come here to take our contacts and try to sell their toys.

Agree. Their main goal is to sell and not to take responsibility.

Login is in the ECU and dash. AD takes it from dash. If you are unable to input login in dash, check in instrument cluster (17) measuring blocks (08) for group 24. 4 fields there should contain "0" (zeroes). If not so, let car to stay with ignition on untill counters become "0".

Thanks Alex789, if at all possible.... can you supply a screen shot of the mpu in the ECU and the Dash to be read and also the screen shot showing the location of the pin code in the eeprom...cheers for your help

Sorry for delay. I was on vacation. 93C86 is eeprom in dash. If you have an engine 1.8T, there should be Bosch ECU with eeprom 95040. You need to read eeproms with progger or via OBDII and post dumps here. Cheers.
