Many thanks. your files fixed my Vista challenges.

Eventually got there by also specifying which COM Port to use when setting up my GPS to Memory Map.

i'm looking for a driver for my nikki usb to serial convertor for windows vista. Bought in maplin, and box says no driver required for vista, but it wont recognise it for me. hope downloads here will work.

im a newbie here but this looks like a great site.I need the drivers for maplins nikkai usb to serial convertor that works with vista. Been trying ages to find as the disk that came with it does not have drivers

i got my usb to rs232 from ebay it came with a drivers cd,
i installed it the drivers but it didnt work,
so i tried the drivers which have been uploaded on the first page they dont work,
and the ones you've posted 'pl2303 xp driver'
are the exact same one as i have on the drivers cd i got which like i said doesnt work!

anyone got universal drivers which work for any usb to rs232?????????

downloading and installing the drivers i posted from index
was the 1st step,
2nd step: plug out then plug back in the usb -serial cable , it usually comes up that the system filename "ser2pl.sys" is needed here is the address for that file www.floridaprobe.com/downloads/ser2pl.sys and follow the instructions to the letter on the page. good luck all
