Hitachi LCD was dead when i came in from work today,could it be the heat ?

not unless you left it on all day in a box... I imagine its died as your warranty has probably just run out...

No it was off all day but your right the warranty did just run out

just google 'lcd tv repair manchester' that seems to give plenty of options..

my telly was 3 month's over its warranty bar afew days. comet came out to look at it(£30).The guy said it should cost £100. But he didn't carry the part.He came back 2weeks later and didn't charge me said comet would cover it...
