Yes all right, it only campaigns to increase sales.
I asked the seller if the ELM327 version 1.2

I think the display version 1.5 are stored in EEPROM 93C46.
But the version 1.2 firmware stored in PIC18F2480.

Forget about v1.5, the last one is v1.3.
All v1.5 are fakes.
Or maybe Chiness started to clone ELM327 even it ain't made yet.

93c46 is for ftdi232bm and has nothing common with PIC or with FW_version of PIC.

ELM 327 is for OBD II cars.
Ford Mondeo 2001 disel is not.

That's because you using original ELM327 not clone one.
Chinese clones dosen't work with ScanmasterElm 2.0
