Dear All Gamma Users,
The gamma team has announced today that they will no longer support the gamma card,or gamma plus card.
they decided that the gamma project is over.
no more file will be out from the 15.04.09
for the moment this is the last update ever out by the gamma team
gamma team thank to all the people that bought the card and help them .
in this situation they can no longer work.
from the 15.04.09 gamma team will be formerly dead.

I only came across this on a German Site this morning, but reading down through the trend it has been know about for some time that Gamma were pulling out of the game, I am as surprised as you are and indeed have been tempted to buy a card in the past myself.

At least there is one more patch to come for Gamma card users on the 15th
Things only getting worse in this hobby at the moment.

How thankful you can be to some members here for telling you not to buy it! And thankfully you went down the linux route and so far it has payed off..

this message has been on a few forums
for the last couple of weeks and like the nds card
for premiere that never arrived, i think it's a wait and see time
the 15/4/09 has not arrived yet, lets first see if a file is posted
on the 15/4/09 as stated for the last card file,but like most rumours
it's probably a fake message.this card has had great support
for the last two years and if the support stops most users cant
grumble,like others i think that nova could open on a new diablo
file and that could hit future card sales but like most things in this
hobby only a few know the answers and most others just guess.

Yeah but with any business you want to make money ! and Gamma no doubt will come back with a new card to make some more money for themselves ! the card has been around a while like you said (& sales have probably maxed out) by launching a new card will have all interested partys running out to buy it , on the other hand like terriers has informed us Duolabs are due to give us this service which is presently on the Gamma card so Gamma might have bee fourced out of the market by bigger fish ...Who Knows.

Who knows if the diablo will last or end up doing the same thing and maybe bringing out a new cam just to make a bit more money. Thats the good thing about linux, if it stops working you havent wasted any money all though the gamma didnt sound like a waste of money if you bought it a year or so ago. But maybe ppl who only bought it a week ago will beg to differ

Many forums are saying this was a lie. The Gamma team have actually released updates well after the suppose close date of 15/04. Its possible that its the TV providers sending out misinformation
