satellite question please help

hi sly media came a couple of weeks ago to put sly hd in but much to my disguss he could'nt fit it because of the hundreds of trees at the back of the house he said there was'nt a hope in hell that i could have it as the dish points above spain at 13 e i think he sed so thats that . is there any other places that if i bought a motorisd dish and alot of help of here to set it up that i could point the dish at to get things like football .tar

i thought sly used 28. ,if your path is blocked by trees,it would depend if other sats are blocked also.if other sats are gettable you might get something.

the trees are in the only place were sly point there dishes anywhere else is just open air fields . i was just wondering if any body who has a set up, points it in oppersite direction to sly and gets decent tv

no dish has to point in that general direction moving from left to right for sats

If he's pointing the dish at 13E then he's not using the direct line which most Sly Installers and even myself use now, if the trees are not too high then there shouldn't have been a problem with it.
I actually use an iPhone app now when checking out an install which will actually show you if there are any obsticals in the way. If you have an iPhone 3GS then check out the app called DP AR Pro. For others who want to install a dish and also have an iPhone 3GS the same company does another great app called DP Maps which uses Google Maps and the built-in compass to show you where to point your dish.

These 2 apps combined will help setup either a fixed or motorized dish.
