On the packaging it states that I will get my 1st update for free if it is released within one month of me purchasing the unit. So since this unit has came from the warehouse with 2009 maps on it, how exactly do I get my free upgrade? When I use the 'upgrade maps' option it wants to charge me about £40 and asks for my name, address and credit card details. I've looked in the box and I don't see any sort of voucher code etc. I know I can hack it and get them for free anyway, but I'v never had real (paid for ) maps on a sat nav before and I want to do it just for the sake of it.
