Default BLACK WII // External multimedia harddrive

Hello to everybody, thanks to this forum i learned how to proceed with a new WII in order to make running games.

So the question I have is following.
I want to buy an external hardrive MULTIMEDIA in order to split the capacity of the same for examplae 1,5 tb ( 500 mb for WII games) and the rest (for music, movies and data).

As far as i could read this is possible, but how to manage it.
    FAT32
    NTFS
    WBFS

    Which multimedia hardribe to buy?
Hoy to format it in ordet that everything runs?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

No need to partition format it all to fat 32 and you can store everything on it. The only drawback is the files have to be less than 4 gb (except wii games, they will still work as wii backup manager splits them into useable sized chunks) and the chances of you having anything bigger than 4gb are slim unless you are storing hd movies. Which the wii can't play anyway

Thanks for information, so everybody in spanish forums are talking that this is not possible, as there should be internally a conflict between the WII and for example a movie once you want to get start one of them.

You need to use mplayer ce or wii mc installed on the wii to play avi files from either external hdd or if you want streamed wirelessly using smb share from pc

I'm just saying what I use suits me but others may not like it as I've said before. You know what I use and why.

There is no problem softmodding a black Wii I did one 3 weeks ago.

LetterBomb is the easiest way to softmod a 4.3 Wii.
