try using com 3

If you cannot contact to your box check your null modem cable. Connections are like showen below

pin 2 ...to... pin 3
pin 3 ...to... pin 2
pin 4 ...to... pin 6
pin 5 ...to... pin 5
pin 6 ...to... pin 4
pin 7 ...to... pin 8
pin 8 ...to... pin 7

Important: Go into device manager and check that you are choosing the right com port. If possible use computer with serial com port build on mainbord.

I'm experiencing the same exact problem for some damn reason. I've tried about everything I and darcu could think of. Not sure what to do anymore.

ok manage to contact box in step 1 but have com test error in step 2 any ideas using a null cable with usb adaptor

make sure usb adapter is com1
good luck,not many people have good results with adapters.

greetings people of the box, my skybox is finally dead after i update the TP_PROG, not sure if its the SW or theres sumtin wrong wit the power supply.. just got my null cable today, hope sumtin good will happen.
