dm 500 ethernet stoped advice please

    Default dm 500 ethernet stoped advice please

    HI all please can anyone give me any advice on the following problem
    i have a dm 500s not a clone ! the ethernet has stoped working and i have no backup of setings ect
    i can connect via serial port to com port 3 but image backup stops about half way through
    the image is nablosat and it has gone into a booting loop although it sometimes boots ok what software can i use to enter file system to save the files i need to copy ????????
    any advice is very welcome thanks to one and all DAZA

    maybe all that is needed is a reboot of box and modem and router,off at rear for 30secs then on.

    The answer to your question is to to google for ViewVar by LraiZer for Wndoze and pop it onto your PC, then grab what you need out of the JFFS2 var partition to copy what stuff you need to PC from there., from your backup image, which you pop in the same folder on PC, and must be renamed to backup.img in the same folder. Read the readme included, first, yes?
