Default buying dm500, any uk stock

hi
im new to these forums

i am looking to buy a dm500 and was wondering if there are any shops with uk stock? i am planning on subscribing to 20mb broadband from virgin with a phone line and free tv package. When i get the dm500 do i need to use a splitter or does it have a cable out socket?

thanks in advance

most dm500 are imported and are copies/clones you might find some on ebay an original
if i was you i would buy a legit dm600 at least if theres a problem they would replace it
most of these imports come from china and to replace it you might have to pay the p&p back
splitter will be ok

hi, thanks for replying, how much are the dm600's? was looking to spend maybe £75 ish as thats how much the starview (?) boxes are, its to share with 5 other people who arent that bothered for having lots of tv channels so they need persuading and i dont think they would be willing to spend too much.
are the clones bad? do they still work as they should? i dont mind it being a clone but i would prefer to buy from somewhere with uk stock as it would arrive quicker than from china.
where have people bought their boxes from?
cheers

i've emailed buyingthings.co.uk as they have the black boxes but it said out of stock at the top then further down it says 17 in stock, looked on dvbmonkey.com and its £62 for a dreambox one or £75 for the black linux clone i think. both prices are including delivery (£12).
anybody recommend any particular shop over another?
thanks

Be very carefull of DVB seller, I've heard a lot of complaints about their boxes breaking down. If you want a cheap DM500c try fleabay and look ander Eurovox Ultra, I've had one running for quite a while and it's never missed a beat

The Eurovox Ultra is a DM500 clone but the rest of the Eurovox boxes are not similar in any way to a dreambox.

checked buyingthings.co.uk, with the digital-kaos code it came to 69.99 delivered (they emailed back and it is shipped from china). is that the best price i'm going to get? that was for one of the black box clones, i think with the screw in f connector.

Someone on this forum said that DVBMonkey and buyingthings are the same company. I think if you are prepared to pay nearly £70 and wait a month or a dreambox than you may want to think about buying a genuine DM600 for £199. I have a clone DM500S and a genuine Dm600, the latter runs flawlessly for months.

They are all clones I got the ultra for £39 from fleabay, there are clones and there are clones. I'm recommending this one because I know it's a good box if your not sure then other option is itgate or dm600.

With the current exchange rate you can get the 500C with the screw-on tuners for 62.00 pounds shipped from satsun.biz (american seller in china) or dvbseller.com (i think these are chinese) I have used satsun.biz many times, no problems as yet. Not sure about dvbseller.com as never used them.
