Default dk image 1.1 video button classic view

somehow probably by standing on the remote control I seem to have activated the multi column view.

This is the view of the TV channels when you press the OK button.

I have clicked help After clicking the OK button and says to toggle between the classic view and column view press the video button.

I have a DM500 remote which does not have a video button.

Q) is there a quick way to get the classic view back without re-flashing the image please.

Thanks Siv

I'm not at my box just now so can't test. And I can't think of the view you are describing, can you post a picture?

I'll try and get a picture later...

let me try and explain it better.

Press the Ok button on the remote control.
This will bring up the screen where you choose what channel to pick.
Normally I have a long list of tv channels (the red button) (i dont bnother with boquets).

With this view you can also see what is currently on each channel.

For some reason I dont have this view any more I have the tv channels in 3 columns instead. If press the help button whilst in this screen it says to toggle between classic view and column view press te video button.

My remote does not have a video button

Have you tried to press all other buttons to see if it changes back, i.e. radio, tv, etc.

By default the dk 1.1 and 1.0 image has a long list when you press the ok button. For some reason I have managed to change the default view to column view.

And I have tried the TV / Radio / MUTE / AUDIO / HELP Etc.... etc.... looks like I am gonna have to live with it this way.... for while until I decide to re-flash....

Unlesss anyone else has any ideas... P.s I dont think standing on the remote again will work...

no here is the screen shot it bits a crap I took it from my blackberry. As you can see when the ok button is pressed instead of bring up 1 list with Tv channel name and whats currently on. It brings up 3 rows with the just the tv channel name.

Wow...I've never seen that before!

I'll have a play tomorrow after work and post if I find anything. I hope someone offers a solution before that though...

thanks DevilFish but no need. My non technical other half, said why dont you switch it back off and on again..

I thought in order for settings to save, an initiated reboot is required. So I switched it off at the mains. Switched it back on again and viola the column view was no more...

thanks for the quick responses Excellent image guys keep up the good work.

When you do a reboot using the shutdown menu, it saves your current settings to a file before rebooting, then it reads that file when it boots to load your settings. Since you powered off at the wall and not via the menu, it didn't save your column view and loaded your config from previous session. If that makes sense...

You've just learned what 4 years at uni will never teach you...how do you fix it, turn it off and on!
