Hi everyone, got me a dm600c afew days ago.
Benn playing around on it with afew images that i got. The problem is.......... when ever i try to flash the box now i get an error message as follows.......

14 Flashing failed (!!!005 too much data( or bad sectors) in the pations [End 02000000 ipos: 02000000]]

Does anyone know what i have done or what has happened??
Can it be repaired etc??

Have you tried flashing over serial with a null modem cable and Dreamup? If that still doesn't work you may have bad NAND flash memory and would need to send the box back to whomever you bought it from to get it fixed.

Yeah have tried all of the above, but had no joy...............looks like its going back...............DAMN!!!!!

Make sure you are using the latest Dreamup I think version 1.3.2 or alternatively use the Dreamup for Dm600

have tried eveything including dreamup for dm 600, but nothing. When flashing, everything goes ok, and then at the end i get that message. Seems like it going for repairs. Which is ashame coz i only got it on friday....
Just my luck, couldnt find the rite images for c.
Back to the drawing board.

Once you get it back install the Pli image as that has some feature you will find useful later on.

What is it specifically that you like about the Pli?

The now and next inforbar, the 14 day radio times epg, I also share my Dm600C hard drive with my DM500 and also I find there seems to be less issues with pli image in the CS department.

Hi m8 thankyou for posting info but was wandering wetheryou could help me further. I have installed the pli image on my dm600c but don't know what i need to do next because when i try a transponder scan it does not give a choice of diferrent networks to scan so all can choose is scan all but i cannot choose the provider. Do I need to make changes to this image for it to work if so any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. First and formost it would help agreat deal if you can connect your box to the internet.
2.You need to ftp the cables.xml file var/etc and than do a bruteforce scan.
3.On the Pli image if you press the Blue button you wil get a menu with s/w management, download the latest control panel.
4. Select downloads and than got cams.
5. Download Evocamd 2.14 and it will install itself.
6. Select Softcam setup and select Evocamd 2.14 as the default cam.
7. there is a link by devilfish for downloading and installing ROMS you will need to follow that so that you can copy files to var/keys and var/scce
8. Turn to channel S*y Sports and wait till it clears.
9. After you have done a scan Once you have managed to do a full scan use program called dreamboxedit to import your services& bouquets (favourites) to your pc so that you can re-arrange them and than send back to your box.

A little brief but maybe it will help to direct you in the right direction.
