i have a dm500c and it has been working until all the 'hoo ha' a few weeks ago and since then it just will not work. When i turn it on i get DW 'UK01' screen but setup has no option to scan? The EPG says its 'Enigma'?

I have used Dreamup with Null cable to flash the DK 1.1 image but the screen just goes blank? i have attempted to replace all the '7' files via flashFXP but still getting nothing?

So I'm not sure the box is accepting any new images? My question is can i FTP the image to a dreambox and where should it be ftp'd to?

Any other help gladly accepted, cheers.

can you see the the menu,s in the dk 1.1 image m8
if yes have you done a scan
in setup> service searching menu
or dont you see nything at all

No can't see a menu, when i flashed the DK image the box wouldn't do anything, just flickered, i can only get the DW image to work and that doesn't give me anything either?

When you say you got the DW image to work, you mean you can access the menu and see the program EPG (Electronic Program guide) etc ?
but no channels ?

How did you flash the box,did the flash complete or fail ?

Yeah on the DW image i can see the menu (setup, tv mode, radio mode etc.) but no channels, no option to scan? I can see the epg but it's blank?

I flashed the image using Dreamup and a null cable, Dreamup said the flash was completed succesfully?

Any ideas?

leave the dw image on it and enter keys manualy change cmd config on line 19 from 01 to o2 then do the full nagrogram fix this will sort it

make sure u do a flash erase when asked

Sorry to ask but where do i input the keys? Is it in /var/keys/keylist.txt? When you say 'nagrogram fix' do you mean delete all the numbered files and replace with the '7' files in var/scce do they need to be in var/keys as well?

I find it a bit odd that you have no option to scan, what DW image are you using..personally i would reflash the box with DW2.1 > Digital Kaos - Downloads - DW2.1

Put the keys into the var/keys folder just drop them into there, once done you need to add all the updated roms into the same location,then select overwrite simple as that.

Thanks Dazzonamission, I am using dw-dream-uk01 image, tried to flash dk 1.1 but screen just went blank, I've just tried to do the manual update but that has done nothing either! I'll try reflashing the DW 2.1 image now.

When you say 'just drop the keys in, how do i drop the keys in? from where?

Sorry, once you have flashed the image using the null modem cable you will need to ftp the the keys and updated roms to a file within the dreambox,do you have a router set up at home that you can connect your dreambox too ? once you have flashed the dreambox with the new DW2.1 image go to Menu/Set Up/Expert Set Up/Communication Set Up
Now you need to take a note of the IP address should be something like 192.168.0.2 as a example, now make sure DHCP is ticked and enable network is also ticked port should be 80 now save and exit.
Now i use a program called Filezilla which a FTP (File Transfer Protocol) this program interfaces between your pc and your dreambox,now when you get your ftp program there are many different ones about but all do the same thing, you need to enter a few details ..Host: this is the Dreeambox IP we looked at 192.168.0.2 etc Username:root Password:dreambox once you hit quick connect your pc will talk to the dreambox and make available all the files for editing, we are interested in the Var/Keys Only....now we can drag and drop the keys into this area and also the updated roms.

I've got the image working but now can only get FTA channels, i've overwritten the 3 '7' nagrogram files and been on sports one but nothing?

Ok press the blue button on the remote and start evocamd2.12 now go to sky sports 1 and wait a few minutes.

Just want to clarify have you inserted the keys into var/keys folder ?
