Arrow Dreambox connection problem!!

I have a dreambox 500c & need to update image on it.
I have downloaded & installed the FXP,so i could load new image which i have saved to do.
The big problem I have at the moment is that everytime I try to connect to internet message showing connection lost or could not connect using ethernet cable connnecting to my router which is a Belkin(wireless router connecting to my Laptop & PC & has a IP 192.168.2.1 & in network connection showing that has a default DHCP server.
I have tried IP address for the dreambox which is 192.168.0.24 & also another IP which I found on hints & guides section you suggested which is 192.168.1.101.
I can't figure out what is possibilly is going wrong I'm afraid.
I will appriciate anyone's help,please.

FXP only transfers files, you cant flash an image with it.

If your router has an ip of 192.168.2.1, then your dreambox will be a variation if this, right?

like 192.168.2.2, or 192.168.2.3...etc.

Hey up

Ive got the same problem with a m8's 500 clone, no matter what you do in the Comms setup it wont connect at all.

Ive done a few Dm and god knows what but this is taking the P**s.

Cant even reflash it as it comes up wth a bloody error message now hahahaha

Got to keep bashing on though.

"wont ping or even show as a mac addy on my network, bleeding clones" and i should have told him to do it himself arghhhhhhhhhhhhh

Gaz

Just reflashed it with the v1. of DK and its doing the same,i think this is er.....goosed is the word im looking for.

It flashes with with Dream up ok but looks as though its using the serial side of it as it doesnt come up with connected in network mode and takes about 8-9 mins to flash.

Tried a diff network lead but still the same.

My 600 connects and fine and stuff.

It will also scan spot on but just cant ftp into it to put he files in.

Confused .com as they say.

Gaz

Which other image is safe to use with it be a clone, might give another one a go.
