dvbmonkey - dm500c - £53
dvbseller - dm500c - £29.50

I've not went forward to checkout to see what postage will be but that doesn't look cheaper to me.

Unless dvbmonkey is based in the UK.

Sorry, I didn't explain properly and I've noticed that its £29.50 just for the board not the full package.

DVBSeller.com is £39.99 + Postage of £25 = £65
DVBMonkey.com is £53.00 + Postage of £15 = £68

2 quid difference..

but... there is a picture of the inside board on DVBMonkey.com and also a board picture on DVBSeller.com. There seems to be a difference in the tuners.. but i need your opinion..

D'oh! didn't now it was just the main board I looked at sorry m8.

Would be good to find out if it is different components. I've had no complaints about dvbsellers boxes, i.e. breaking down, so not sure why people would order from dvbmonkey if they know they have a good seller already.

Yeh I suppose,

The pics on DVBMonkey look promising though. I mean, I know everyone keeps going on about the tuners but these guys have gone out of their to prove what hardware is in its tin..

I'm just gona have to buy one and see what happens.

I think you will find its exactly the same tuner in DVBSeller.com and all the other shops. But might buy one to test Actually I have a dvbseller box here will open and compare....

<--Bonesy added 8 Minutes and 15 Seconds later...-->

Yep, Exactly the same NXP tuner, even says NXP on it and same part reference number 3129 147

Is all screw type tuners philips? or is there different makes of tuners with screw type connecyions, NOT the old push in type?

And on 2nd thoughts, that shop website is only be online for 2 days...think I'll hold on paying them anything until I see some reputation from this forums if good or bad and more importantly what their aftersales services is like.

Guy called Peng from china is doing the 500c for £50 including delivery, just got one today to replace the kryptview downstairs as the wife was moaning about the different menu's. Only put it down there as my 500c went titz up.Will keep the kryptview for myself for watching sport upstairs as i dont have a problem with it.
