Hi

I have a Dreambox 600PVR and im having problem streaming accross network to computer. I am using VLC player and programs like Sports seem to work however when you come to movies or discovery programs it does not, the image breaks up etc, also after changing the channels a few times it freezes the dreambox and you have to reset.

Has anyone had any sucess and if so am i doing anything wrong ?

Hi,

I also have a 600PVR and experienced the same problem as you described. I found that using the Pli image is probably the way to go to help solve your problem. Streaming via VLC player is much more robust with the Pli images.

Having said that, I have a 500C and find that the 500C is more stable streaming with exactly the same image !! Strange. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with having the extra h/w i.e. hardisk and the extra processing required on the 600.

Let's hope someone on this forum can help shed some light on permanent fix.

Hi guys, i just upgrade from DM500C to DM600C PVR and im strungling to unscramble the PPV channels. i ftp the cable.xml file got all channels and add all the new rom in key and the others folder but nothing coming up. i try to flash every DM600 images but no joy. what im doing wrong? im desperated guys. NEED HELP PLESE

Have you got a cam setup?

I'd done the keys, cables and scanned, but realised eventually that no cam was installed (this is how to do it on pli's jade image)....

Download a cam (evocamd is best) - blue button, software management, downloads, softcams

Set cam as default - blue button, softcam setup

will try it and let you know tomorrow. i just flash the OozooN CVS image for a try and i will go back with the PLI image. thanks
