| Top Poster + | That is good advice. The cable.xml file contains a list of transponder frequencies to try during an Automatic Scan. The default cables.xml included with most images has only a limited set, far from every possible frequency, to reduce the scan time. By uploading a new one (presumably with more frequencies in the Brute Force section) makes it possible to find the missing transponder and its channels. However the bit about using dreamboxedit to update bouquets to add missing channels should be forgotton Last edited by alexh; 7th July, 2009 at 10:33 PM. |

| V.I.P. Member | Sorry but have to disagree. You need dreamboxedit to copy the channels to your pc. You then need a text editor to edit the bouquet list to paste the transponder information into your bouquets and then you need dreamboxedit to send your edited channels to your dreambox. |

| Top Poster + | But the transponder information you suggest we to paste into our bouquets is I fear unique to one specific area of the country. I really don't think it is going to work unless someone lives in the area that data is from? No? Last edited by alexh; 8th July, 2009 at 07:03 PM. |

| Top Poster + | As an experiment I transferred the bouquet information from my Dreambox (Enigma DW2.1) #SERVICE: 1:0:1:1f43:50:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Red Hot Amateur #SERVICE: 1:0:1:1cec:4a:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Viewers Wives #SERVICE: 1:0:1:1ceb:4a:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Red Hot 40+ Wives #SERVICE: 1:0:1:62f:4a:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Spice Extreme #SERVICE: 1:0:1:38e:9:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Television X #SERVICE: 1:0:1:19a:4:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Playboy TV #SERVICE: 1:0:1:1cf1:4a:31:0:0:0:0: #DESCRIPTION: Adult Channel (I've added the DESCRIPTIONS manually to this post as they were not in my Bouquet) As you can see they are nothing like the ones published earlier, almost certainly because I'm in a different region to mrdude. | V.I.P. Member | Not disagreeing with anything you are saying m8 but it works for me on my box. Why not try what I am saying and if it doesn't work than you proved your point. |

| Top Poster + | Tried it, doesn't work. All I get is a bouquet containing the correct number of channels, each saying "(removed service)". If you select any they display no picture and bring up a pop-up GUI window saying "service not found". Which is exactly what I would expect. Must be a coincidence that you live in the same region as mrdude. Last edited by alexh; 8th July, 2009 at 11:21 PM. |
