IPTV used unique port, and our Local ISP provider deployed traffic shaping aka throttling. Had you tried with VPN?

Even Bittorrent download is much much faster through VPN.

Even the USB IPTV thingy sold at IT shows would be horrible without VPN.

Thats why its always wise to bundle the VPN solution with a IPTV/VOIP related device.

Anyway, 7800HD is sold under S$300 inclusive of express courier shipping and wire-charge.

Heard a while a go that singt*l is trying to collaborate with starh*b on the signal output. Because many houses need to lay cable for meowtv installation.

Another news is to share the broadcast, meaning to say starh*b rent channel from singt*l. Vice versa

If either on of the day arrive in 2011. N3 might also arrived.

Collaborate with starhub on the signal output?

They stated that they'll use the Starhub cable services and use a ring or something that will prevent interference with starhub

Today newspaper, both operator share the paytv channels. No more exclusivity. But it has been delay till 1st half of 2011, which was supposed to start from today onward.

Can't wait for that to happen. Will then send back my meowtv box to the operator.

I thought all the m10TV services are contracted? How to return the m10 box?

I heard from my Shenzhen source that FY is no longer applying expiry on its latest batch of AUcard. I wonder if there is any way to verify the expiry?

I had already ordered a small qty for models:
    DM900C-II and HQK3388/6633/FY901C/DM901C.

PM me if you want to get one for yourself.
    Less than 3 red paper.

Mmm.. maybe they think N3 is coming soon and applying timebombs will be impractical since the boxes will be useless after that.. so now they can still make more $$$ with this decision..

this is just my 2 cents worth, but i think everyone is too paranoid about this whole talk of changing over to Nagra 3.

lets analyse the situation. SH now has about 650k to 700k of subscribers(officially last year it was 590K, so allowing for general increase)
less than 1/4 of user are on the new hd boxes, the others are all on older boxes that do not support nagra 3.
so that means if they are going to change the boxes, they have to change about 500K boxes. assuming each box costs 100 bux, thats 50 million bux.

with the new fibre network coming in place, there will be a slew of pay tv services coming online. in fact the next gen broadband is already online to some users. stated completion of wiring up all houses and offices in singapore is end 2012. lets assume things start june 2013.
MDA has stated that directive is for SH and ST to merge in terms of pay tv content. most likely will migrate over to the new fibre network.

that means revenue will decrease for cable TV. effective from this year that means current revenue stream will last maybe 2 1/2 years.
if you were in SH's shoes will you spend 50 mil on changing end user settop boxes when revenue is set to decrease?? they will want to milk the market for all they are worth to make the most money.
so my humble opinion is they wont bother about nagra 3. after all when they switch over to iptv based network in 2 1/2 years, we cant hack/crack it anymore!

so its not about weather and when they will switch over to N3, its a question of dollars and cents!

    bro, well said....

looking from the business point of view, it doesn't make cents for them to go for N3.
