It look like the firmware used is not compatible. Try flashing it ...
Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and would of cos hope to know more abt the dreambox. I know as a newbie, its irritating to ask for info cos there are countless requests like this daily... I don't expect to be spoon-fed, so I have read up a little here. But alas, there's more than 200 pages to skim through and I dunno where to start.
I hope someone can help me. Everyone starts as a newbie somewhere
So, if i get a Dreambox DM 800 HD, what are the steps I need to do to get it from fresh-out-of-the-box to watching S***H** channels?
I know I need to hook it up to a Win XP PC, flash to to a img file posted by "SingNet" via a program called "dreamup"? Where can i get that? Are they still valid?
If I'm able to figure it all out, and hook it up, I hope I'll be able to make a guide for future reference for everyone in the future
I'm doing some reading up now as I wait for replies... (hmm.. what's autoroll key?)
Thank you everyone for the support.

Can someone briefly tell me how to manually install mgcamd 1.5a into the STB which was already installed and booted up successfully with a working image file?
I have previously successfully installed a Newnigma 2 V 3.0.2 image file provided in this forum. I am trying to test out another working DM800 image file that can boot up faster than 120 secs. I installed the latest Dec 2010 versions of PeterPan, Pli-open, power of dreams e.t.c image files. I found that all are without /emu/add-remove/mgcamd 1.35a option included, hence can't activate mgcamd 1.35a as what I tried out before. I search through quite a numbers of the related websites which only briefly mentioned needs to press the bule button and manually install mgcamd 1.35 after transferred the file in /tmp folder of STB. But I can't find any option to install mgcamb 1.35a after pressing blue button in those working image files I tried out for DVB-C.
I need one set too.. SGDVB can PM me? I'm also a newbie here.
Press blue button the go to emu menu, add/remove camd. You may want to uninstall ccam & ccam config already installed by default to free up some space since it is of no use.[/QUOTE]
There is no emu menu at all on all of these new releases. Can only find : Single EPG, Graphical Multi EPG and sleep timer after I pressed the blue button. I want to learn how to install Newnigma2 services/emu/add/remove camd option into STB after I have successfully boot up these Dec 2010 image files.

if there is no menu for installation of emu then you have to install by other way.
see my PM.
kenngks,
I prefer using this firmware: #75 Newnigma 2 OE1.6.nfi - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
(#75 Newnigma2 OE1.6)
After you flash with this firmware, do not disconnect dreamup & flash again with this: ss76-to-ss76a_beta-20100713.nfi - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
This is the secondstage bootloader to upgrade to SS76a.
