Hi guys, my dad got a DM500-C II and a DM900-C II (With a M88 3rd Generation Aucard) and it didnt work recently.

I browsed thru this forum and bought a USB-RS232 cable.

Can someone PM me or show me the link for the steps on what i should do?

Try reflash thru serial method and if still the same, probably hardware problem.

I had checked the set up box and there isn't any modem cable for me to connect at all. So how do i know whether is the card working or not?

You must flash the latest firmware..Get your friend box which are working than use null modem cable to connect box A to B,box B Receive and box A Transmit..Ok now you you got the image right..Say you punch the code and still not working!! Means your AUCARD has expired..You need to get gen6 AUCARD..

I tried to use both code but still got black screen. My friend set up box are able to view it. We bought it at the same time. Any way to resolve it?

My set up box software is 19 May 2009. I had tried means mentioned by bro here but still not able to view it. Anyway you can help me to provide the key to me? Really appreciate your help.

For the recent happening was due to a swing form key00 to key01. Furthermore the key00 have been change to f8b2..... not longer 91fd......

For those who are affected, that means box AUcard already unable to support key00/01 retrieve automatically. What they can do is to continue with the input key whenever provider change or swing key.

Reason that I am not sharing the key is that this will never end. Whenever the provider change the key you will come back to me and ask for the key. There are many people out there don't even know how to input the key. Infect to totally resolve this problem is to change to a new generation AUcard that able to support the auto key receive.

TAKE NOTE, for those are using dm900cii, the box software need at least "06 Jun 2010" and above in order to support the new generation card. Or else the automatic key00/01 retrieve will not work. The software version can be view under menu "system info". Those which cannot work are "14 May 2009".

If u flash with null modem cable only, no need router.

If u happen to have a working box and want to flash new image, u can connect to router and you must have the correct IP address when u check the Use Network option.

Are u using the latest version of Dreamup? Downgrade to 1.3.3.1 and below. It works for me with lower version.

These are 4th Generation cards, dont buy them, the AU emms had expired and will not AU.
Card prog to expire on 25 April 2011.
Sory expires on 30th April 2011.

Sounds like it's the cable. 1.3.2.1 will work with DM500.
You need null-modem cable ONLY from RS232 port on old PC to
box. USB-RS232 cables will not work with Dream-UP
Make sure you power off box before starting Dream-Up & only
power up box when prompted by Dream-Up loader
