I dun think your box is DM800 but is FY800HD as DM800 does not show $$$ before channel name. Only the chinese box with software made by their programmer have this sign to show channel is locked & require key.

ok i got my new box today the dm 800 hd, any things that i need to do? i went to scan the channels and i manage to get the channels already, but they are showing $HBO in the info page, anyway to remove the $ sign?

anyway how many channels are u guys having after scan?

Changing of rj45 port is easy if you have the right tools.

It may not be the port having problem. There is a network chip on board which could be faulty too.

bro, just check with you on the internet port. Is it easy to replace on our own? It seems that I have a few with the port not working.
I try to update online it doesnt respond. When I use network flash also cannot so I suspect that erthernet port is not working

Yup i think this is the model he get not Dream Multimedia 800HD, I have this set for satellite & yes all those paid channel have $ sign on the channel list hope he pay for the price i guess is around 80 US$ not the actual Dream Multimedia 800HD price but to me ok lah for that price u can get to watch HD why not but my advise is do a backup using usb cause this box have not really properly develop yet & help is very very difficult unless u know any forum for this box.

I'm not sure if the firmware is the same as openbox firmware where u dump/backup all the setting to your usb drive than use HD PVR program to edit your channel list using PC & when done editting burn flash it back to the box that's what i do for my S10.

question :

if i use dreamup to backup an image file from a dm500c (which has keys and channel list), and then install this image to another box, will the keys and channel list be copied to the other box ?

Yes whatever u backup will still be intact just like cloning
