what is the last key use for blackbox 888? now i dont seem to be able to flash it, not 1 but 2 bb888.

Which method did u try to flash yr bb888 and what image r u using? Be more specific with yr problem so that other members may be able to help u.

ok bro, hmmm, i have try using null cable modem and dreamup, followed all instructions but it is not working. it stuck at initiating flash loader.
the box is unable to view other channels except the local like channel 8 and channel 5, so i suspect that it is not auto roll on keys, i have try using both laptops and desktop, no problem with my dm500c though.

If that is the case, u don't need to reflash as u r able to view the fta channels. U need to check whether if there is a softcamd installed and key files in var/keys.

Hi. Bros,
Last night I try yo refresh my DM500C by using FTP flash.
After the erase of image, I power it off and reboot. But it just bricked my DM500. May I know how can I restore it back. i have try the null modem method. but unable recorganise the box.

Which program did u use to flash the box till it brick?
As for me i prefer to use putty telnet method so far just a few images that's giving me problem till i know the tricky part as not to brick or box just hang, if i were to tell u in details it will be a long list & some of u guys won't understand certain parts, just let the putty auto close & if u get ''illegal method'' message, close the putty prog. & hard restart box.

So far there's no keys changes try to go menu/softcamd/default cam mgcamd or evocamd/press green button(save & exit)

Bro, sorry for the confusion. I do have your latest bouquet but that's not the issue. The picture for all channels on freq 354Mhz come and goes depending on the signal rate. It's fine when it's 95% and above BUT no picture when falls to 85%. My question is why does the signal vary only for 354Mhz, all other freqs are OK? How to fix it?

than transfer to box using Dreambox edit yours is E1 file it is with the latest cable xml file so the next time if u untick the disable background scan your box will have new channels automatically included in the last row of bouquet (red button) all.

Can u show us the picture from back tuner side what cable & connection head size u use so that we can advise u to solve your prob,is it always or once a while it happens

Check your Cable and change it to a better grade. Go to SLT B1-047 Vis-Pro and buy a starhub grade cable.
I experienced it before. just spend the $ and solve your problem it is less than $20 I think.

I use cmd->telnet to refresh the DM500 but my mistake to powered it off before the reboot.

The original DVI>HDMI cable that came with the dm800 is really unreliable. Recently I found out that all my signal/picture disruptions was because of it.

I believe I have ever said this & a master (J'seed) had repeated the same thing again.

Please note that the local seller of Blackbox 888 are the one that has the rs232 ribbon cutted.

If you do not believe, you may want to open the box to check the ribbon. That will explain why you cannot flash using dreamup. Not sure if you can do telnet flash.

HELP. Am using DM500C
I can receive SHub 100+ channel, perfect reception.
But suddenly, it freeze, so I reboot (on / off power) it, to my dismay, "NO SIGNAL" (Blank Blue Screen) after that. Not even the normal intro green PLI screen, press remote control at "Menu" button, no response.
Normally, when it freeze & i reboot, it is fine after that.
FAQ:
a) Is my box gone case?
b) Else, what can i do to resurrect it?
Can any kind soul help enlighten & guide me, please & thanks, HELP.

Leave the power on, unplug the power from the rear of your box & plug it back after 3 second. Try a few time & should get your box back in service.

Don't ask me why but ever encounter a batch that you can't unplug & plug the power back instantly.

Have tried 9 times as procedure advised below.
Result: No signal, blue screen

Although the problem still lingers, nonetheless, thanks for trying to help, bro, appreciate it much.
