new to this forum learning how to enable to watch euro 12 for my dm 500 seems like my set is lock with pass.

i bought 2 x dm500C online. I have channel 225 on my set but my friend's set don't have.

I stay HDB and he stays in a condo. Since we both got the sets together, could it be that his site (condo) does not support the channel so it didnt appear?

if you can receive it, he should be able to receive chn 225 too.
Is he able to browse to the chn in the 1st place ?

If not, his set was probably not loaded with the chn .... ask yr supplier for help. If he cannot help, then you can blacklist this seller

do you mean if my friend's set has the 225 channel in the listing?

if have, cannot see
if don't have,

both situation just need to reflash my friend's set with the latest software right?

1) If Chn is in listing and cannot see
Then u have reflash with 500c SG image from download section.
pls backup yr keys n roms 1st before doing so.
If forget to backup, dun come back crying later and ask for help.

2) If Chn is not in listing
Use yr own channel bouquet files to help him ( dreamboxedit software ). This is assuming u have the default user / password
Search in this thread for guide - we dun spoonfeed

Best to ask yr seller as he/she knows your box best.

assuming that u r using this in SG , this is blackbox 500c , same as dm500c , only the outer casing is different

i might be wrong, but i had previously flashed 2 similar sets with the same front panel. how does the back look like?

blackbox 888 , blackbox 500 , dm500 ... they are clones of the originals anyway

as long as u know that you have RS-232 port(male connection) behind, you will be fine

I thinking of buying carbon fibre sticker (Cheap china type)
ad customise the look of my box. Maybe the top part of the casing put the carbon sticker. I can imagine... sure look nice, but must cut holes for air ventilation. If not maybe paste on the side easier...........

cut hole for air vent can cut from behind top cover casing which much easier
i was thinking of that too just worry that top air vent in future sticker might loose out due to the heat?
i know 3m will be fine mostly see it on car bonnet but china sticker QC duno yet

Wonder if I can update the latest service and bouquet files recommended by Astrobox to make it works ??

Yes, u can transfer them using dreamboxedit. Once u do the transfer, after reload command, don't select reboot but off yr mains power and wait for 10sec before switch on the set and yr channels will have the euro an in order.
