Vu+ is mostly satellite tuner if u can find cable tuner to swap that will be great as for working images i'm not too sure but actually i've been eyeing for this set for my satellite usage

Actually I hv got the most powerful box liao. All bells and whistles. Sorry I cant afford to play new box now that I m really retired. Got to watch my spending.

My box is Full HD 1080P and PVR, include HD recording too. 2 tuner, recording never failed and 7 days setting ahead. I hv never worried abt updates. Hehehe.....

I am still waiting for Master SGDVB to teach the HDD initating. :-(

Do you guys know how to spot which version has the standby clock problem. and which one doesnt?
Just got myself a 800SE few days ago. So would like to find out if i should expect that problem.
If i am using ypvs's flash image nfl file, will i need to worry about that clock problem? cause i think i read somewhere that the fix can link with flashing new image/ latest image with fix. Is that true?

can be find out by press menu under information then press about.
only Front Processor Version 3 having problem
ypvs image got all stuff for clock issue fix by using Gp2 Dv time

I have close to 200GB movies I recorded from TV on external USB drive. Some of the movies I want to archives. The file size of each 2 hour movie is close to 4 GB.

I can play the movie on TV. If I connect the hard disk and copy to local disk, how do I play the move? What format it is recorded? How do I convert to DIvx or MKV Format?

I just sorted out my dm800HD se which died after a plugin update and I'm now stuck at the keys/roms. Can i download the keys/roms from a friend's box and transfer to mine? Or is there an "easier way"?

You should be able to play the recorded video through this freeware codec without conversion:

hi ctpestano, I am a total newbie to this cable thing, finger itchy and also killed my DM800 after trying to install a plugin.... can't help you with above but is there a way to restore to factory settings (just like mobile phones these days) without going through the nfi flashing? how did you "sort out" your dreambox?
