Hi bros, my DM500C suddenly hanged today and after turning off the box power and turning on again, there is no signal from the box anymore.... What can be the problem? Do I need to send to the supplier in China?

Dun bother sending back to yr China supplier ... Unless they promise to replace it which I dun think they will.... My previous experience is that it came back unrepaired ... And I have to pay for all charges ...

Is there any other solution that i can try before getting a new box?

I tried connecting the ethernet to the box but i cant seem to telnet inside... the light in from of the box is on for a while and there are 2-3 lights inside the box when I connect the ethernet cable...

Any bros and shifus encountered problem with your dm 800 sensor giving intermittent problems before? Not sure if it's the sensor, but i'm guessing it is. DM800 doesn't respond to remote control sometimes. Sometimes can work, sometimes cannot work. I think the remote is fine, tried fresh batteries.

Anyone encountered this problem before?

Higher the amp for the 12V dc adapter, more stable the 12v supply.

Earlier thread did mentioned some of the dm800hd batch had wrong voltage regulator for the front panel module.
In some cases it also affect the LCD display.

So there's 2 potential causes:
1) Power supply not enough current
2) Wrong voltage regulator

So what's a good amp rating? Is there be a safe operating zone?

Interesting info on the voltage regulator. Shall do a search and report my findings.

anyone knows what this means, coz try to flash this box but unable to. at the ned it just prompt me "Error, memCRC32 from box not equal local CRC32". what can be done?

flash erase a few times and keep trying to flash. Sometimes you will be able to bypass that error.
If you face the error, just disconnect your dreamup and box, then connect again. Repeat the flashing process until the problem goes away.
Anyway, it already show signs that the box is going to give way. Be mentally prepared to dump and buy a new box.

actually alot of people experience this and has post the problem here before. FY800 is a problematic box bro......
What you are experiencing is only one problem. There is more to come, like channel go missing, poor signal, blackout, etc

I suggest you go back to your seller to resolve or exchange for a new one is a better choice. (Most seller don't exchange for you)

Anyway, the box should have warranty and your seller should assist you to solve this issue. By the way I am just curious why so many people buy the FY800. The strange thing is when they face the problem with FY box, they know how to come to this forum for help.... But before they buy FY, they didn't come to this forum to do research first, If you have first come to this forum, you could have bought the dreambox instead of FY box. That saves you headache. Since buy already, no point complaining, just have to manage it liao....

Btw, FY box does not have a proper support platform. So when buyers faces problem, they do not know where or who to turn to for help. Local seller lack the knowledge of that box.

main reason for choosing FY is budget. I have friend using FY and no issues, guess it's all down to luck.

do you know if refreshing helps? and where can i find the latest FW?

Not really sure what to advise you. Unless there is someone who faces the same issue and willing to give you solutions.
FY800 is not cheap unless you buy online.
