Default Signal booster

I have one of those yellow brick signal boosters just can seem to get it to work! I have a weak signal meaning i don't get all the stuff needed. So i went out and bought this booster but i ain't having much look with it at all.
Wondering if any of yous here may have set one up and have any information about it!

Sounds like your signal is now too strong m8,have you tried adjusting the gain on it?
If so you may need an antenuator instead to reduce the signal a bit.

Sorry mate dont actually have one of the yellow booster's myself but I thought from reading elsewhere that there was a adjustable gain knob on them.
Have you tried the argos booster works perfect for me and can always return it if no good.
Sorry if you've heard all this before as I know you've been around awhile m8.

No problem m8,
Also bear in mind it could just be a bad cable connection, happened to me before and went and bought booster which made it worse, eventually tracked it down to cable connection.

Hi guys, just to say that i bought one of the Konig yeloow bricks a few months ago, and never really had a problem with it. But in truth i just plugged it in and it seemed to help me straight away.
I had bought a slx 18db gain booster from argos about a year and a half ago and it worked ok, but it just seemed to stop working one day (it was never off, so don't know if it burned out) and my signals were about BER-140/SNR-49000/SIG-45000. But with the Konig they are sitting at BER-50/SNR-61000/SIG-49000. Not sure what any of this means really or how it can help you but the numbers have changed and the dbox works better.
Maybe you have a faulty brick.

I've got one of these boosters.

Pick a channel you always had a problem with and turn gain up to MAX you will probs get no signal or very low 60%ish SNR

now slowly turn the gain down slowly and you will see the snr rise. Whe it gets to about 94% you should be ok. I turned the slope on mine to max and then back about a half turn. Box has been very stable since.

Hope this helps.

Be very interested to see the results as i have a relative in the same position, he can only get s*y sports 2 if he uses the feed directly without any splitters (but still doesnt get the other s*y sports channels). He also as the konig (yellow brick) booster but we havent had any luck so far.

btw if i recall there are 2 controls you can alter on the booster and the gain control is the one on the right hand side, the left one is the slope control. Keep us posted on how you progress.

Just to let you know depending in what area you live in, sometimes signal boosters make things worst. You need to check what the frequency range is of your booster. The problem could be as simple as a bad F-connector or a faulty splitter and you may not need a booster.
