DM600 Some channels shown as blank screen

Hi, Just wondering if someone can help me. I've installed the Gemini 4.7 image on my dm600c and also downloaded ccam of the gemini server. Its showing all the channels but most of them are just a blank screen, I think it might be just the free to air channels that are displayed. I't wont even show the channels I'm subscribed to with my virgin media smart card in the box. Can anyone help?

it depends where you are as to whether it will work or not, dont think anyone had adapted cccam to work on cable even with vm card, if you not in an n3 area you could get the magic files to put on with evocam to work till n3 goes nationwide

How do I know if I'm in n3 area or not?

at the moment if in leeds and surrounding area you will almost certainly be on n3 but all other areas are due to follow suit shortly, hence the end of free cable boxes

So you do you mean even if i'm not in an n3 area and i get my box working I wont be able to use it for long?

yes mate, im taking it you just bought the box? a little research before hand would have saved you a few bob i dont have a 600 so dont know if it is possible to change the tuner to a sat one, i have a 500 but it will be useless soon enough

yup - easter time at best is the general concesus - search for 1 of the many threads on 'nagra3 or 'n3'

Is the same going to happen with sky?

sky as already in a similar encryption hence why it's not hacked like cable is - people use card sharing for that (discussion c/s not allowed in here)

I don't really know a lot about card sharing I thought that was for people who want to use a dreambox without a subscription. I was hoping to use my one vm card for three dreamboxes is there a way of doing that?

Yes it is possible, I have a Sat tuner sitting ready for the N3 switch over, it's a straight plug in plug out to change them over, and if/when N3 is cracked I can put the cable one back in

On the clone dm600 the tuners are soldered but on the original dm600 the tuners are swapable. You need to load Evocamd 2.13 and the copy the 'magic files ' to your dreambox.
