Default Widescreen Switching on 500c?

I am pleased to be able to say that within a few hours of purchase, I have a Dreambox 500c fully functioning, thanks in no small part to all the helpful information on these forums!

However, there are a couple of small glitches still to sort out. I think that I can deal with missing channels like some of the Setantas myself, but I can't find any reference here to widescreen switching. It is connected via component, and things broadcast in 4:3 are being stretched to 16:9. Is it possible for this box to handle switching, and if so, how? I've had a play with the settings, but nothing I have tried seems to work.

Any help much appreciated!

OK its all sorted now

Although component does not support Aspect switching
I have connected a scart lead from the VCR output into my HDD recorder and it now switches aspect even when viewed through the component when the HDD recorder is in stand by

have you tried system settings? ie..audio and video settings, set aspect ratio to 16.9 and click disable wss on 4.3.
