best software to open .img image files?

Can someone please tell me the best software to use to open and edit .img Dbox image files? A link to download would be good too. Thanks.
Just want to pre-edit in and out files.

There is no software to do that, you can take stuff out with new tuxflash but theres no way to write to by software. You can of course read/write by ftp.

@ Jaffa, I use NewTuxflash to edit my images.

I'll install the .img as normal onto the box then open the same .img in NewTuxflash, extract the files I want to edit then FTP the edited files into the box.

Thats ok np. I used NewTuxFlash before just couldn't remember its name. Just need to take some files out of a new image just got hold of but don't want to install the new image as one I have I am happy with.
