Service file will have all the channel frequencies etc and bouquets files and just like folders, so if you had a bouquet called movies you would put all you movies chanels in that bouquets just to make it easier for yourself. Not having a bouquet file will have no affect on you not getting the channels.

The problem lies elsewhere, maybe you need to put the keys folder in the image. Have a look in link below for services and bouquet files, there may be one for your area.

service file is formed after a scan or transferred into the var/tuxbox/config/zapit folder and should contain all the channels streamed through the cable listed in groups under each transponder frequency.

a bouquet can be created to list the channels as u want or several bouquets can be created to group channels eg. movies sport etc.....a service file alone should show u channels

Copy the services.xml file to /var/tuxbox/config/zapit then do the following on the remote:

DBOX > SERVICE MENU > RELOAD CHANNELS

If that doesn't work, the services.xml file might not be suitable for your area.

Do:

DBOX > SERVICE MENU > SERVICE SCAN

Make sure it says CableSym6952 (if you are in an ex-tw area) or CableSym6887 (if you are in an ex-ntl area). If you're not sure what area you're in, and the image has a bruteforce option, use that. Once you select that, hit START SCAN.

Then go and run a bath, make a cup of tea, walk the dog, and when you get back, it might have finished the scan. These old images take ages to scan.
