complete idiot needs help

Please bear with me i am extremely new to this i didnt post last night as i didnt want to p** to many people off ,i have a sagem dbox2 which was debugged before by someone else i am now trying to get it up and running but i am totally lost by all the different posts and answers,can i restore by using my remote as i do not have any connections to my pc,its andromeda v2,sorry if this is going over the same ground time and time again but as i have said i have looked at so many different threads i am totally confused thanks gary

1st thing m8 is you need to download and unrar to your desktop the keymaster application. Get it at link below.

### New Keys are HERE!!! ###

when you run keymaster, take a note of the key numbers, there are 2 of them, one begining 00 and one beginning 01

then on remote.

press blue
go to tuxbox commander or file manager
a blue screen appears
using the arrow keys go to var/keys
in that section you need to highlight the file you need to change.

If you are using mgcam, then highlight softcam
If you are using evocam then highlight keylist
press 4
look for the key begining 00 and highlight it and enter
change the key to what is in the keymaster app. It works like txting on a mobile phone. You only need to alter the digits after 00
when altered press enter
then go to the 01 key and enter
alter key again to what is in keymaster app.
when finished press enter
press back on remote and press red when prompted.
restart box.

After its up and running and the keys roll again, just use keymaster to get new keys, it will usually only be one of the keys that change, so just go edit it again.

Hi Jaffa the idiot is back ,when i go into keys the keylist isempty the keylist .txt has lines in is the right one if so i changed the codes restarted but it does not work went back into the keystxt and there is not a line with the oo only lines with o1 sorry if this doesnt make a lot of sense thanks gary

You are not an idiot, you are just learning.

Do you know which softcam the image is using. I asume its evocamd if you are editing the keylist.

when you highlight keylist are you pressing 4.

The keys will start like this.

N 5401 00
N 5401 01

If there is only a line with 00 then page down until you get an empty line and press enter and enter your own 01 line or just edit one of the 01 lines, you only need the 2 lines, all others can be deleted if you want.

Thanks m8 i do feel like one have done the same again when i restart the box and look back into the keys there are 2 new lines with keys in that i did not put in above the lines i put in i have deleted them restarted but the come back again thanks gary

Try to find if you can the settings for evocam so it doesent autoupdate thats why the numbers keep changing.disable the autoupdate,what image are you using ?

you are not a idiot gary m8.......you're just learning and its nice to know that you are willing to read unlike some

by the sounds of it you havent disabled the autoupdate so the box is updating itself with false keys.

Maybe the AU confg file is set wrong.

In tuxbox commander, highlight camd_cfg and press 4, go down until you see:

# AU

where it says

A: {??}

replace the ?? with 02. Or you can have it at 00, its doesnt matter as long as it is not 01.
