Dbox can't change channels

Hi,
I have been trying to fix a Dbox for a friend, the problem is after 15 mins or so the box does not respond to the remote and the buttons on the unit don't respond either. The channel continues to play fine but the only way to change channels is to reboot. I have tried about 5 different images and the same thing happens with them all.
Any thoughts would be appreciated as I'm sick of the sight of the thing.

I had a similar problem before and re-flashed with IFA and rebooted. After that I called up signal levels on the box which flagged up a singnal problem. Upon re-wiring it all worked fine. Just a suggestion. I'm using Blade Trinity at the moment and none of my FTA channels stick at all.

they are notorious for getting hot. do easy things like plenty of space around it, no other hot devices. Clean the dust out. there's further things like removing the unused modem, fitting mini heatsinks to the chips inside. eventually the heat will damage it permanently
