dox2 help needed

Hi, is there anybody out there that can help a novice dbox2 user, like a lot of others around the northwest my box has stopped working, i haven't got a clue what to do, Ive been reading from people saying you have to connect to a pc, and others saying you can just put new codes in, as i say im a novice, and if you can just put codes in where do i put them. I will be very grateful to anyone that can help me out with this, thanks. rubenuk1.

If you want a fix so you dont have to input keys then you need the fix below.

You will need to ftp to the box and need a crossover cable is going straight from pc to box, there is a guide below to explain how to do it.
