how to backup image

hi ther how do i bacup my img is their any proper instructions for or can u help.

IF AFTER THE BACK UP IS SAVED SUCCESFULLY TO THE BOX AND I UNPUG IT, BECUASE MY PC IS IN THE OTHER ROOM, WILL LOOSE THE BACKED UP IMG FROM THE BOX

Yes you will lose it if the box restart because it clears the tmp folder when it restarts. You dont actually need a tv in the pcroom IF you can see the lcd on front of the box. Just go through the menu watching the menu on the lcd.

In a word yes. You need to back up the image and ftp it to your pc. To back up an image press dbox button\service\image upgrade backup\backup one partition\flash without bootloader
it will save in tmp folder on dbox as mtd3,img you then need to ftp this to your pc
