Some things to check.

Are you using a crossover cable
Is the username and password right (some images use different passwords)
Is your dbox ip addy correct
Is your lan ip addy correct.

go to control panel > network connections

select your network card that your using and go to properties.

click configure and find the bit that says "link speed and duplex" or similar. change this to 10mbit/half duplex.

also click on "internet protocol (TCP/IP)" and assign an IP address (something like 192.168.0.100)

ignore the dns stuff.

also make sure your using a crossover cable. you can check by looking at the colours of the wires where they go into the plugs. they should be in a different order at each end.
