| Administrator | You can always use IFA to flash an image. |

| V.I.P. Member | Ifa starts flashing before you get anything up on screen so its not connecting try using the portable version and set your network card to 10baseT_halfduplex or 10 halfmode |

| V.I.P. Member | Credit to rodboy for this guide Use renwich's portable IFA it's by far the easiest version to use. no install required crossover cable only required works with any static IP ( within reason....192.168.x.x ) works using full image name image can be sucked in from the deep belly of your computer. turn dbox off switch IFA on select image select network adapter ( should only be one......with wireless switched off ) select start turn dbox on..........and away we go !!!!! Follow the instructions on screen........disconnect and power down/up when instructed. good luck ps you may need to disable your AV Last edited by Fergal; 14th January, 2009 at 07:40 PM. |

| Newbie | Hi still can't ifa to box & thanks Fergal it was on 10 half duplex spent ages changing connection settings etc but no go with ifa portable & normal ifa, fxp connects & works I updated bouquets with it to make sure. After messing around with the box's menu, settings etc etc I think I maybe able to use fxp to flash an image. My path was dbox/service/software update/expert functions. in there I have options to 1 read whole image,2 write whole image, 3 read one partition, & 4 write one partition, also there is a config file & in it is /etc/squashfs.url. So Fxp at least makes the connection with the box, is it possible then to transfer laky sylas using fxp because I notice in its title in downloads it says ifa. Thanks rojas Last edited by rojas; 15th January, 2009 at 04:30 PM. Reason: Daft error ftp instead of fxp |

| Newbie | It works I eventually flashed the same image (sportster pro 1.10) to clear the cockups I made in the first place used ifa portable again & again would'nt work until I pressed standby & channel up button the box itself it then just loaded using ifa portable think I'll leave well enough alone for now great picture, soundfast channel changing too fast in fact it often goes two or three more than you want also the lock option for bouquets does not work. Many thanks to devilfish fergal & everyone else on this educational & very helpful forum. rojas |
