Question null modem cable

:is there a difference between a null modem cable and a lan cable

A null modem cable is a rs232 cable (rs 232 - Google Image Search).

A lan cable is a ethernet cable (cable to connect to your modem. lan cable - Google Image Search)

You will need a rs232 cable and a crossover patch cable to flash dbox using IFA.

i have a rs323 cable and a crossover cable but my rs323 is male/female dbox and com are both male thanks for info

flashing with a LAN crossover is faster and easyer, using image flashing assistant m8
