my dreambox 600 keeps crashing after changing channels when i add more satalites to it.

if its just astra 28.2e its ok when i start loading more satalites to it thats when it starts crashin btw its a genuine dm600 i bought from sponser above i have tried abvout 10 images now all do the same thing could this dm 600 be faulty.

how do you totally wipe the box uisng telenet commands m8 i just reflash a new image on it im using a technomate 2300 motor and a 105 metre mesh dish just had it installed last week.

i got 28.2 astra on their 13e 19.2 e 08w thor 9e and a few more.

when chaninging channels some time the volume on box mutes on its own when im in half way through the channel list it goes back to start loads of bugs in it like you said.

I use the latest Pli Jade3 image on my clone dm600 and genuine dm600 and it all works fine. How is it configured in the motor setup? Are you using gotoxx function or manual? You need to provide a lot more information about your configuartion if you want people to help you fix your problems.

If you want to reflash your box, the best way is to use a crossover cable connected to the com port of a PC. use Dreamup for this method. This is better because it completely erases the flash.

Otherwize you can do it via ftp using flashwizard pro.

thanks for your help m8 but whats the diffrence in the go toxx function and it being unticked sometimes i have it ticked and other times its unticked.

i just had a the dish installed last week so still new to this
im seraching satalites and then storing them i have about 5 satalites installed i had the gotoxx box unticked.

M8, you need to switch off your GOTO X completely and use the ROTOR Setup (Disceq) I had this problem. Does it just sit there saying MOVING TO (1W- Insert your own sat here ) and not do anything when you choose a channel. Did the installer set up your satellites for you?

You need to load one of the pre-configured channels settings to your dreambox and you need to turn ON the GOTOxx function. make sure that you have lat/long loaded in the Rotor set up. If you sk it to go to 1W and it does not move then that means that your channels settings are wrong or your dish is not aligned properly because it is trying to go to wher you have asked it to go but it cannot go there because it cannot find the location of the sat.
