Hi Opsmonkey,

Thanks for your comments ( My Teacher used to say i had my own mind ) Dont spoil an old mans dreams . My situation is that i like most sports eg rugby-cricket & chelsea football plus i need other english speaking channels for the good lady. Tell me about these other channels what would i require to view these and do they show the premiership footy ?

basically to view any channel of any worth these days you need to cardshare..

Why.? Well the encryption of services like Nagra 3 and NDS means that viewing channels with keys is no longer an option.

Any service that uses NDS encryption is basically unviewable for your main form of entertainment. The encryption is so top end that it means the picture will jump, freeze and pixelate if shared.
Sky UK and Sky Italia use this service so basically forget these.. FULL STOP.. I know your banging on about it a lot but you can bang on about it for the next 20 years if you want.. Sky keep uping the level of encryption meaning it gets harder and harder each time..

If you want to watch english football as well as many other sports you will have to view the games on channels such as:

Alpha TV Greece
Novasports Greece
Novasports Czech Republic
Digitalb Sports (Supersports) Albania
Canal+ France
Canal+ Spain
Canal+ Norway
Canal+ Holland
Premiere Germany (Soon to be rebranded as Sky Germany)

I dont know how many times i need to say this:

use your Dreambox for viewing of Sports, but for your main viewing of British TV get a Freeview TV if you dont want to pay or buy a very small subscription to Sky / Virgin Media..

Do yourself a massive favour and forget about Sky.. If it was an option then thousands upon thousands of people would be doing it, Sky would be hemorrhaging money left right and centre.. Trouble is they are not they have locked down their encryption..

this is the best forum around..

you were probably talking about cardsharing or hacking sky, this gets your post removed as does linking or promoting other forums..

You know posts are only removed if they are breaking the rules or the comments made within them are off topic and not conducive to the friendly easy going atmosphere that we have here on Digital kaos.. This forum is one of the lesser moderated forums on the net but if you find those rules to hard to stay within then you will have a hard time elsewhere which is probably one of the reasons why you came to use us in the first place.

I can only assume that one of the staff found your post to unhelpful in some manner, you were asked by opsmonkey what you think your post said but you have not replied. You seem to wish to cause disruption instead.. If you wish to edit your last post then thats fine,, however I have no need to remove it.

If you wish to find assistance elsewhere you can, there is not an electric fence around this forum that is keeping you here..... I am sorry that you are unhappy with your experience here but throwing your toys out of the pram does not create a good impression to the people in this forum who have already given their time and knowledge for free to assist you..

As a newbie myself, i have taken a lot of advice from this forum...
from various different users, some have good knowledge and some have an excellant knowledge base...

but never have i questioned anyone, as i'm here to learn not to
put anyone to the test.

i have no doubts on any senior members here, nor on any that may not be that senior just yet...

this is an excellant website, a website filled with people that are willing to help, and filled with endless amount of knowledge.

2 weeks ago i had no idea what a dreambox was...but with the help of the members here...mainly Obi Wan kenobi (Opsmonkey) ........im getting the hang of it....and im doing pretty ok...

My advice to all new members would be simple, join the forum
read and educate yourself, ask questions if need be, make friends...and most importantly have a laugh and a joke...because we're
not getting paid to come here, we come of our own free will...so make the most of it....and appreciate the website.
