Default struggling newbie

Hi to everyone on the forum. Ive been reading the post for a few weeks now and purchased DM500s 2days ago. I have a sky dish and have replaced the sky box with the DM500s. I have managed to upload a few images and now have jade pli image installed with cccam2.10.0. I have followed instructions on loading keys/roms and emus. Have done this but not sure if emu is loaded. Am really confused as to the combination of image to keys/emus/roms/cams as there seems to be a large number of permutations. Also am not really sure if i have started the emu as this process seems to be different for each image. Anyway have managed to scan most of the free to air channels but some i had on sky box are missing.
Can anyone please tell me what is the best combination of keys/emu/roms for the jade pli image. Also can i get anymore channels with my exisiting setup or do i need a motor dish and if so what can channels can i open and how? Have read lots of stickies but am really baffled. Cant seem to find any specific advice on how to control the box. Do i really need to learn linux to get anywhere. Please help. Thanks in advance

i'm afraid mate if you bought the Dreambox to open Sky its been a waste of money.. Sky is not open via EMU and keys.. the encryption is not hacked.. Virtually nothing opens on any satellite accross Europe anymore with Keys or EMU.. You would have to look at Cardsharing which is a banned topic on this forum ..

If its Sky your after and have no Linux or code knowledge, plug your official receiver back in and get a subscription.. Sorry

Thor 0.8W is open then closed, open then closed.. there are constant Key rolls.. Have you seen the channel package on Thor..??

What channels or types are you after..??

basically to view anything of any worth you will need to set your Dreambox up to Cardshare.. Rules here prevent me from elaborating anymore on the subject.. Google it though..

I can tell you though you will need to be able to port forward your router and create a static IP address before you even think of the above..

However.. if its just for Sky UK dont bother the encryption is top notch

The only Technomates worth going for now are the 500/600/9001 Linux and the 6000super/plus non Linux
