Possible junked pandora?

So, I just got my 2001 in the mail and everything works fine with the stock battery - 3.71 OFW onboard, AB0 serial, etc - but when I put in the pandora battery to charge it, the orange light goes on but I can't turn it on even with a/c plugged in.

I was able to trick it while plugged in by starting it with the stock batt and just swapping it for the pandora. I went to the battery status and it just read 0%, charging complete. Is this normal? Do I have a DOA pandora? purchased from pandorasales.com

Sounds like the battery is screwed mate, try it in another psp see if you can get it to charge.
